OUR STORY

Rooted in over a century of San Diego history, The Loma Club traces its origins back to the early days of the San Diego Country Club, which merged with A.G. Spalding’s Point Loma Golf Club in 1914 to create the landmark that it is today.

With its proximity to the Naval Training Center, the course was also used by the Navy in the 1920s for physical fitness and recruit training. While serving, legendary golfer Sam Snead even held the post of head Golf Professional.

The course today features state of the art fairways & greens designed by local renowned architect Cary Bickler, and continues to honor its heritage while bringing fresh energy to Liberty Station.

Our Community

Loma Club is more than a golf course, it’s a social hub. Families, friends, beginners, and longtime golfers all feel at home here. With live music, community events, mini golf, and a vibrant bar & grill, Loma is built around connection.

Our spot in Liberty Station makes us a natural gathering place, walkable, scenic, and surrounded by the best of Point Loma’s culture.
